Usage of commercial product on server side

Does this competition allow to use commercial softwares on the server side but use open-source code for client applications ?

  A depends a bit on the specific use of the commercial software. If it’s a critical contributor to your app’s logic and not just another data source, the answer may depend on the license restrictions on that software and whether the source code can be made available.
